Shinnersia rivularis or 'Mexican Oak Leaf' is a beautiful and very fast growing swamp plant. However, it thrives well under water too, and it is therefore well suited for aquarium. The leaves are brightly green  in appearance. It requires high light to produce maximum growth rates but more moderate light is sufficient in most cases.
